Built around one ordinary frustration.
Anyone who has bought online in India knows the gap between the photograph and the parcel. Catalogue images, borrowed product shots, descriptions written by somebody who never held the thing.
We started TrustBazaar to close that gap. A seller here cannot upload a picture from their gallery or a manufacturer’s press shot — the camera has to be open, and the photograph has to be of the item that is actually going in the box.
It is a small rule, and it changes what a listing means.
The rest was built around it: a price agreed with each vendor before anything goes live, a reseller programme for people who already sell within their own communities, and a document behind every order so that what was bought, what was paid, and who supplied it are never in question.
